David L. Spyke

Dave has been licensed in real estate since 1993 and began his career with Remax of Muskegon. After 2 years Dave helped Bill Carlson with the development, planning and opening of Nexes Realty of Muskegon. Nexes Realty soon became and still is the top real estate company in Muskegon County. As a member of the Nexes team Dave has been in the top 5% of Muskegon realtors every year he has been in the business. Dave specializes in residential resale, new construction, subdivision development and light  commercial.

Education. Dave graduated from Reeths Puffer High School in Muskegon in 1972. He obtained an associates degree from Muskegon Community College while  working as a para pro at Mona Shores High School. Dave earned a bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University in business. After graduation Dave purchased a clothing store from his former employer and ran Spyke's clothing for men and women for 27 years.

Business experience. After graduating from college Dave  started Spyke's clothing that he ran for  27 years. During this same time he purchased the North Muskegon senior apartments and managed and maintained the entire operation. Dave also developed and operated North Side Storage a lock and store facility with 250 units and own and manages several commercial developments in Muskegon. Development of Water Tower place in Whitehall, Cady Woods, Marquette Trails, Marshall Glen and several additional subdivisions have given Dave a world of experience that he is willing to share with his clients.

Personal. Dave and his wife have 4 children and travel often to visit them. Dave is an  avid snow skier and has his professional instructor's license for snow skiing. He participates in a ski race league and plays golf poorly. Dave spends much of his time working but enjoys the family pontoon boat and many other outdoor activities.

Civic activities include soccer coach, volunteering at local track meets, and working with various organizations for the betterment of Muskegon and it's residents. Dave has been given numerous awards but likes to keep a low profile.

Dave is a graduate of Reeths-Puffer High School. Has an Associates degree from Muskegon Community Collage, Business and Marketing degree along with a teaching certificate from Western Michigan University. Additional degrees from the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA)

Hobbies

Interests include everything in the great out of doors, boating, sailing, skiing, hunting, fishing, biking, sports, camping and most of all family and family life.
